2019 Blazer Descending on Dealerships Soon: Bold Design Revamps a Classic

All of us on staff here at O'rielly Chevy of Tucson have long loved everything about the Blazer, and have been anxiously waiting for it to return. For the 2019 year, Chevy is pumped up to raise the bar on crossover design, and will proudly introduce it as the newest member of the trusty SUV lineup in the fall. The model now features the addition of some great new tech features, and top-of-the-line functionality. We know that we will all be flooded with inquiries and excitement regarding its coming release, and are confident that it will help solidify its place far ahead of the curve, that we eagerly chiseled out with the development of vehicles such as the Bolt EV, Trax, and Colorado.

With a place in the SUV lineup directly in between the Equinox and Traverse, one of  the first distinct features on the Blazer is the very strong appearance of the grille, and proportions that are prominently more muscular than on past models. Equipped with a stature that is ready to conquer the road, any busy family or young professional will love the 64.2 inches of available cargo space, and ability to fit five passengers comfortably. If a longer-than-average journey is on your schedule, the second-row seats conveniently fold down all of the way flat, and you'll have room for camping gear, goods from a grocery haul, or even new toys such as a drone.

There are beautiful locations nearby such as Catalina State Park, that offers more than 5,500 acres of foothills and canyons to explore from overhead. As always, check with authorities regarding any flying regulations, and prepare to enjoy Arizona's very rich and diverse landscape! The new Blazer is an ideal vehicle for excursions like this, and we love the spirit of trailblazing adventure that it has always possessed. If you are learning about purchasing a vehicle like the Blazer, you are probably an individual that is working at any given time with a larger load on average than most. You'll be excited to know that the available Chevy-first cargo management system provides a cargo fence as well as the adjustable rail system, providing a perfect means of making sure that all of your carry-on items are included.

One of the most important questions with a new vehicle release is always regarding what is “underneath”, and the task of providing power for the new Blazer is carried out with the choice of a standard 2.5-liter, or available 3.6-liter V6. Both are paired to a nine-speed automatic transmission, and will have the might and available muster to assure that the new Blazer will always be able to have an ample amount of punch off the paved or single-tracked line. If camping or fun at one of the many nearby lakes is on your schedule, you'll be thrilled with the 4,500 lb trailering rating, in full effect by selecting the 3.6-liter V-6 option.

When you come visit us at O'rielly for a test drive, you'll love the Hitch View feature: you can use this view to help while you are backing up and aligning the trailer with the hitch, a feature that many embarking on their plans for a hot holiday weekend before this technology was developed would be very excited about! You'll also become quickly fond of the Traction Select feature: it allows you to make real-time adjustments to the vehicle's driving mode, which adapts to constantly changing road conditions, rendering it a sensible choice for any adventurous urban commuter!

Chevy Midsize SUV Spy Shots From Southern Europe: Finalizing Future Blazer Rumors

After the rush of new year's releases is over, we reach the time when we are hearing reports back from satisfied customers with details about which of their features are their favorites on their new purchase. Mileage comparisons with past models, enjoying larger touch screens and more powerful engines, and how the new vehicle behaves during long trips are all important items to ponder. Spy shots are one of the mediums that allow us to check out models that present themselves on the horizon, and the shots we have recently gotten our hands on here at O'rielly Chevy appear to have captured our brand's newest midsize crossover during in-depth test runs in southern Europe, being put to the task in extreme heat.

Rumored to be sporting the “Blazer” namesake, this is the new model that is slated to be positioned between the small Equinox, as well as the power-propped and heftier Traverse. The very narrow headlights and grille slats are noticeable right up front, popping out from underneath the camo, and a flatter nose, as well as very upright rear end, are a bit more consistent with the rest of the lineup's appearance. Whether you are an emerging young professional, hard-working contractor, or growing family, the future Blazer's size and stature will appeal to you. This future Blazer strays pleasantly over the larger size visually, conveying a vibe of trustworthiness, and ability to seat passengers comfortably. It will most likely be built upon the Chi crossover platform, which is currently used on the new GMC Acadia, and Cadillac XT5.

It seems plausible that the appropriate engine choices would be the 2.5-liter inline- four for the standard option, as well as the optional 3.6-liter V-6, paired to a nine-speed automatic transmission. The finished product is bound to be a palpable dose of ammunition in the fight against competitors Ford Edge, and Nissan Murano, with a debut date during the Los Angeles Auto Show later this year. Sales of our Traverse and Equinox SUV's were up more than 30 percent during the first quarter of this year, as consumers begin to really fully embrace the modern SUV phenomenon. And honestly, what's not to love? You can navigate easily through urban traffic, have ample space in the back for necessities like groceries and camping gear, and the secure feeling you get with the industry's best and most modern safety features on board.

The new Blazer model will have the choice of front or all-wheel drive, with a look promising to be sportier and a bit more chiseled than past versions. Rumor has it that on the inside, there are circular air vents that are found in the Camaro, and the same steering wheel the current Silverado sports. Back in the 1990's, the Blazer had the honors of snagging the title for Playboy's Truck of the Motor Trend Truck of the Year.

During this era, the Blazer sported a design that had been incorporated with a bit less on the rugged side, a trait that the 2019 model carries through as well. The sales and service staff here at O'rielly Chevy of Tucson avidly claim that the S-10 Blazer and S-15 Jimmy were two of the best generations: we're excited to carry on the tradition of solid builds, stellar handling, and a medium of SUV that will prove itself to be simply irresistible

Young professionals are definitely one group of car buyers here in Tucson that we feel we really need to recognize this time of year for all of their dedicated work. As spring now begins to turn to summer at O'rielly Chevy, there are individuals that are making their hardest choices ever about life after school, juggling multiple jobs, and looking for the perfect opportunities to display their talents with every new step they take. As very unique and abundantly-talented individuals on the search for their ultimate vehicle continue their journey, the brand we love to represent has really made drastic strides to have the best-ever offering in the SUV category, and the newly redesigned Equinox is perfect for those who have busy lives very full of multiple tasks.

There is space on board for 5 to be seated comfortably, and the new design for the Equinox possesses the features and unique flair to edge past the competition in all areas. This is the best-equipped as well as the best-priced rival on the market to go head-to-head with competitors such as the Rav-4 and the CR-V, with much attention in the engineering department allocated to making sure that the most active type of driver has an exhilarating, yet useful experience. We recognize that the brightest and boldest of young professionals may be looking for a vehicle that is more than just useful for the occasional jaunt with the entire family, and the state of Arizona is a great location for anyone experiencing the desire to seek out a spirit of adventure.

The noticeably lighter weight is one of the characteristics that anyone driving the new Equinox will notice first: 400 pounds have been shed from the new model, and just one of the results is the turning radius being tightened by 2.5 feet. The 63.5 cubic feet of space in the Equinox is utilized for absolute maximum potential, to assure that every single necessary accessory and passenger will be included on the ride. The 60/40 folding seat option allows for a greater amount of available space for musical gear, a small business owner such as a photographer's image -capturing equipment, or a jaunt pulling double duty at a Phoenix trade show.

The 1.5-liter turbo engine has no trouble at all nailing down 30 miles per gallon on  the highway, and if you are on the search for more muscle, the 2.0-liter produces 252 hp, with gas consumption still averaging around 24 mpg. Many young professionals are aptly planning to have families soon, and are now in the stage of life where they are thinking about pertinent safety features. The variety on board the new Equinox includes safety alert seat, forward collision warning with following distance indicator, lane keeping assist, lane departure warning, and rear cross-traffic alert.

Come to visit us at O'rielly Chevy here this summer and check out the SUV that Car and Driver claims is “Expertly damped, with well-controlled wheel motions, and no sense of body float”. Having an SUV like the Equinox in your corner is the ultimate contender: anything from your next power lunch to the very last final exam will be a can-do destination!

Dynamic Fuel Management: The 2019 Silverado's Advanced Gas-Managing Asset

As the heat beats down on Tucson and the best months of the year move in, there are tons of great activities taking place around the community for summer. During Father's Day weekend, you can check out the most authentic Mexican food that exists north of the border, at the Tucson Mexican Food Festival. The Southern Arizona Arts and Cultural Alliance partners with title sponsor Visit Tucson and the JW Marriott Tucson Star Resort and Spa to put on the Mexican Food Festival, where you can meet celebrity chef Eriki Bostick of Sies Kitchen, and enjoy a Mexican Brunch at JW Marriott on Saturday, June 26th. This will be a perfect time to load up a new Chevy pickup with your best friends, as showing a room key will also yield you free culinary education classes. Mole, Ceviche, Tequila infusion, and Mexican Wines are just some of the exciting topics that will be covered for excited attendees during this event.

Events like this are times when a ride like the new 2019 Chevy Silverado is ideal: it is rugged, awesome, and high-performing as it gets. Now, there is another great reason to get set up with a lease or purchase of a brand new Silverado: this truck will offer the most advanced gasoline V-8 engine in the Chevy brand's history. The revolutionary Dynamic Fuel Management Technology on board enables the engines to operate in a total of 17 different cylinder patterns, optimizing efficiency, and the delivery of the all-important power. First introduced during 2005, this system has been improved on greatly during recent years.

Small Block chief engineer Jordan Lee was asked to comment on the effectiveness of this high-tech process, and said that “Dynamic Fuel Management enables only the cylinders needed to deliver the power you want, seamlessly delivering the best balance of power and fuel economy”. Dynamic Fuel Management incorporates the use of 17 very complex cylinder patterns. The larger number of cylinders are working overtime constantly to assure the correct amount of power delivery, and efficiency at any speed. Part of the high-tech wonder and intrigue of this system is the electromagnetics put to use: the system deactivates and reactivates every single one of the 16 unique hydraulic valve lifters in the engine, maintaining constant control of valve actuation.

When a cylinder within the system becomes activated, the two-piece lifters use energy to collapse on themselves, which prevents them from completely opening the valves. When the cylinder reactivates, solenoids inside take up the duty of sending an oil pressure signal directly to the control ports on the lifters, and the latching mechanism is what governs the closing and opening at the right pace. What all this means for the driver at the helm of the Silverado is that the engine has the ability to operate more often, while using a fewer number of cylinders. This ultimately saves fuel, and gives the driver the sensation of power on demand that stems from Chevy's well-built and engineered Small Block V-8 Engines. Feel free to stop in with any truck questions you may have for us here at O'rielly Chevy, and we'll showcase for you all of the features that play a part in the Silverado's promising future!
