The Truth about Cars Blog Claims 2020 Chevy Silverado 1500 Duramax Possesses “The Perfect Engine”

Even though there has been much talk and debate surrounding diesel over the past few years, all of us here at O'Rielly Chevy of Tucson recognize its awesome potential and widely-known characteristics of raw power and great mileage output. Compression-ignition engines have now become quite common in the truck market, even if generally limited to heavy-duty, three-quarter-ton and larger models. The Truth About Cars blog recently ran a feature about their love for the 2020 Chevy Silverado 1500, powered by a Duramax 3.0-liter inline-six, and paired to a 10-speed automatic.

Head staff writer Chris Tonn claims right off the bat that “he's not sure if he's ever fallen so hard for a powertrain”, a pretty good sign of high quality for a first impression. He claimed at the first drive that the inline-six engine pours power in a very smooth, seamless rush, while still having the ability to be very quiet and balanced. 9,200 pounds is the towing rating, and Chris laments that “this 3.0-liter oil-burner is perfect for that kind of duty”. The 4-wheel drive model maxes out on the EPA scale at 29 mph highway, and 25 mpg combined.

You still know that this is a truck you're driving, as parking a 20-foot long beast takes both practice and planning – but the rewards of having the drive feel quiet and controlled are present during every trip. The audio controls on the 8.0 – inch touchscreen here are billed by the testing team as “responsive and intuitive”, and the navigation displays are bright and clear. Both front and rear seats offer plenty of comfort with 10-way power adjustments for the front on this particular LTZ trim. The rear bench offers up plenty of legroom for three across, even with the fronts adjusted back.

This is where the troupe points out an important trait: that it is no wonder the crew cab pickup has become a replacement for the traditional family sedan.. the roominess and features available in 2020 are nothing short of phenomenal. The Safety Package comes highly recommended here, which adds rear cross-traffic alert, front/rear park assist, and lane change/blind zone alert.

The trailer camera package along with the advanced trailering package adds up to a tow rating of 7,600 pounds, perfect for a Chevy Camaro set up for SCCA racing! While summing everything up at the end of the article, it is even said that this is probably the engine he would choose for being most competent and reliable. If you're looking into a vehicle with a good type of resale value, this is one of your top choices, as America's appetite for diesel has anything but cooled down!

Camo-Laden 2021 Silverado Realtree Edition Featured in 1st State Update

The second collaboration between Chevy and the world's absolute coolest camo and outdoor equipment manufacturer has now taken place in the form of the 2021 Silverado Realtree Edition! The limited-run truck combines the rugged go-anywhere prowess of the Silverado 1500 Custom Trail Boss with custom graphics and flair from Realtree. This is where hunting and fishing enthusiasts truly acquire a truck that is perfectly matched to their favorite pastimes, and the Silverado continues to offer functionality and capability where it counts.

Just like all Trail Boss models, the Realtree edition comes equipped with a 2-inch factory suspension lift, 20-inch black wheels with Goodyear Wrangler Territory MT On-Off Road Tire and the Silverado's Z71 Off-Road Package. This is what offers up the ultimate in protection and go-anywhere functionality with monotube Rancho shocks, Hill Descent Control, automatic locking rear differential, skid plates, and an AutoTrac 2-speed transfer case. The RealTree Edition comes equipped with the 5.3-Liter V8 engine with 6-speed transmission and is also available with the juicier 6.2-Liter V8 that cranks out 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque.
In the blog feature offered up by the folks on staff at 1st State Update, they were immediately won over by the Realtree camouflage graphics on the exclusive exterior, as well as the interior door trim, and the logo on the standard bedliner. These outdoor-ready touches are accompanied by black Silverado and Z71 badging, black rectangular dual-exhaust tips, 4-inch black round assist steps and all-weather floor liners. The testing team on hand was also in love right away with the Silverado's Durabed, which offers the most standard cargo capacity in the segment, 12 standard tie-downs and a roll-formed steel bed floor boasting massive strength.
One of our favorites within the Realtree product line is the Excape camo: it is purposefully designed to appear unstructured while it imitates natural elements. It enhances the hunting experience for western big game hunters by enabling them to escape visual detection by blending into surroundings at distances from 400 to 20 yards and closer. It puts to use techniques perfected by apex predators, and many elements that can be found in various western terrain.

Realtree's founder Bill Jordan took his 35+ years of experience to work hard at  creating the world's most versatile patterns on the market, and these are simply “the goods” as far as any experienced outdoorsman is concerned. Come check out this new model soon here at O'Rielly Chevy of Tucson, and experience the thrill of hiding in the brush “from the ground up”!
