Camo-Laden 2021 Silverado Realtree Edition Featured in 1st State Update

The second collaboration between Chevy and the world's absolute coolest camo and outdoor equipment manufacturer has now taken place in the form of the 2021 Silverado Realtree Edition! The limited-run truck combines the rugged go-anywhere prowess of the Silverado 1500 Custom Trail Boss with custom graphics and flair from Realtree. This is where hunting and fishing enthusiasts truly acquire a truck that is perfectly matched to their favorite pastimes, and the Silverado continues to offer functionality and capability where it counts.

Just like all Trail Boss models, the Realtree edition comes equipped with a 2-inch factory suspension lift, 20-inch black wheels with Goodyear Wrangler Territory MT On-Off Road Tire and the Silverado's Z71 Off-Road Package. This is what offers up the ultimate in protection and go-anywhere functionality with monotube Rancho shocks, Hill Descent Control, automatic locking rear differential, skid plates, and an AutoTrac 2-speed transfer case. The RealTree Edition comes equipped with the 5.3-Liter V8 engine with 6-speed transmission and is also available with the juicier 6.2-Liter V8 that cranks out 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque.
In the blog feature offered up by the folks on staff at 1st State Update, they were immediately won over by the Realtree camouflage graphics on the exclusive exterior, as well as the interior door trim, and the logo on the standard bedliner. These outdoor-ready touches are accompanied by black Silverado and Z71 badging, black rectangular dual-exhaust tips, 4-inch black round assist steps and all-weather floor liners. The testing team on hand was also in love right away with the Silverado's Durabed, which offers the most standard cargo capacity in the segment, 12 standard tie-downs and a roll-formed steel bed floor boasting massive strength.
One of our favorites within the Realtree product line is the Excape camo: it is purposefully designed to appear unstructured while it imitates natural elements. It enhances the hunting experience for western big game hunters by enabling them to escape visual detection by blending into surroundings at distances from 400 to 20 yards and closer. It puts to use techniques perfected by apex predators, and many elements that can be found in various western terrain.

Realtree's founder Bill Jordan took his 35+ years of experience to work hard at  creating the world's most versatile patterns on the market, and these are simply “the goods” as far as any experienced outdoorsman is concerned. Come check out this new model soon here at O'Rielly Chevy of Tucson, and experience the thrill of hiding in the brush “from the ground up”!

Carbuzz Features Leaked 2021 Chevy Equinox Blazer-Inspired Facelift Shots

It was two years ago that the redesigned Equinox was released to the public, and leaked photos gleaned via Carbuzz last week confirmed that this very popular crossover will get a facelift for the 2021 model. Heavily borrowing on cues from the Chevy Blazer, the front features brand new headlights with a split design, as well as a bumper that has seen some tweaks and a smaller grille. The side profile still looks identical to what is seen on the current model, and the rear sees updates in the form of a new bumper, and redesigned taillights.

The leaked photos are of an RS model featuring black-out parts such as a darkened grille, wheels, and mirror caps, as well as a quad exhaust system and more aggressive-looking front bumper. It's safe to assume the engine in question will be the same 1.3-liter 3-cylinder engine seen in the 2021 Chevy Trailblazer. While situated in the Trailblazer, this one cranks out 155 horsepower and 115 lb-ft of torque, but it is not clear if this engine will carry over the US variant. In the States, the Chevy Equinox is offered with a turbocharged 1.5-liter 4-cylinder that makes 170 hp and 203 lb-ft of torque, and a 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder making 252 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque.

GM Authority and a few other media outlets claimed that there was the possibility of a high-performance model, but solid evidence of this has not yet materialized. For a higher-performance version, a plausible candidate for the engine could be the all-new 2.7-Liter I-4 L3B Turbocharged engine, that has found a home in the 2019 Chevy Silverado 1500, and 2019 GMC Sierra 1500. In these trucks, the L3B engine makes 310 horsepower, and 348 lb-ft of torque, which would most likely only drop slightly when dropped into the Equinox.
The cabin may also see minor updates and new active safety features, but the infotainment
technology should carryover unchanged from the current, pre-facelift model. There were other spy shots seen here from Motor1.com that may show the eventual production version, showing a white model with the facelift. All of us here at O’Rielly Chevy of Tucson have paid close attention to the fact that the Equinox was the only American crossover with ranking in the top 10 best-selling vehicles last year, and so that’s why this refresh was not too intense, as to not upset what is already working out well. Come to visit us for a test drive of the Equinox soon and experience the well-crafted and durable crossover that is the perfect way to begin your New Year!

Stats Closeup Comparison Via Car and Driver: 2021 Chevy Tahoe Vs. GMC Yukon

The very latest Chevy Tahoe and GMC Yukon have just lately been announced, much to the delight of large SUV lovers everywhere. Both are slated to come out this summer as 2021 models, and the only real difference between the two was the badge. For these models, when you closely compare as Car and Driver did on their blog last week, you'll find some unique styling cues and features. After checking out this comparison, you can base your choice on which aesthetics and personality bits suit you best.

The two vehicles ride on GM's newest T1 truck platform, which also is present under the Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra pickups. Both brands' new SUVs are larger than their predecessors on the outside and have more space on the inside. The Yukon and Tahoe get a 10-speed automatic transmission across the board, with three engine choices. The base engine is a 5.3-liter V-8 that makes 355 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque, and there's also a 6.2-liter V-8 cranking out 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. Both are brought over from the last generation of Yukon and Tahoe, but the new versions brandish smarter cylinder deactivation systems and stop/start systems.

There's also a third engine choice: a turbodiesel 3.0-liter inline-six that made its first appearance on the Silverado and Sierra pickups. This engine delivers 277 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque, with the ability to post a 30-mpg highway EPA fuel-economy rating. The Yukon is now the recipient of an advanced drive system dubbed Active Response 4WD, which puts to use an electronic limited-slip differential that manages all-important traction and power distribution levels. This system is also used in the very performance-rich scenarios of the Corvette and Camaro and is one trait that makes the Yukon the better choice for off-roading and low-grip situations.

On the new models, the only similarities in the exterior design are the nearly identical top-down and side views. Other than that, the grille on the Tahoe is wider, and the headlights are now much narrower and higher up compared to the Yukon. In the rear, the SUVs now sport markedly different liftgates and taillights, which were nearly identical on the outbound models. For the Yukon on every trim except for the high-end Denali, the climate control panel, screen setup, and switchgear are the same on both SUVs. The differences lie in the badges on the steering wheel, interior color schemes, and trim materials themselves.

There is a completely different dashboard setup on the Yukon Denali, as the screen now sits lower on the dash and there are two larger HVAC vents just above it. The Denali model also boasts much nicer leather and wood materials. After you visit us here at O'Rielly Chevy of Tucson for a test drive, you'll also notice that both SUV models include optional air suspensions, 15-inch head-up displays, active grille shutters, and a list of safety and driver-assist features. When spring hits, there will be nothing more satisfying than having the family in tow while enjoying the best in comfort and go-anywhere quality that this pair offer up with pride!

GM Authority Highlights in Detail How the Chevy Trax, Traverse, and Equinox are Perfect Fits for Families

As the summer months are upon us here at O'Rielly Chevy of Tucson, many family reunions are taking place in the great outdoors for our valuable customers and all of us here on staff. We all truly feel that the Chevy is the #1 choice on the market for families, and the crossover body style definitely fulfills the requirements of lugging your loved ones around in tow comfortably. This past week on the GM Authority blog, they featured the “Family Reunion” video that showcases the so very useful features of the best family-friendly trio in the business: the 2019 Chevy Trax, 2019 Equinox, and 2019 Traverse.

The crossover variant has four doors, a hatch with plenty of cargo room, a high-riding stance with prime driving position, and ample space for passenger comfort. It's no surprise that this is a segment that has grown so fast in popularity among families, and during this video, the host begins by asking which of these three vehicles the family members gravitate towards. The 2019 Chevy Trax is fit into the subcompact segment, the Equinox as the compact, and the Traverse as the fullest-size seven-seater. The ad ends with an incentive offer for the 2019 Equinox, which provides for current owners of a non-Chevy vehicle to get 14 percent below MSRP on most Equinox models, attracting those who have developed loyalty elsewhere to check out the multiple benefits of Chevy ownership for the growing family!

The 2019 Chevy Trax provides very easy access and chair-height seats, and rear seat accommodations have been consistently ranked time after time as commendable. It's a very secure and highly maneuverable crossover that set out to provide a very high value and comfort point as well as having one of the best extended warranties in the business as an option. Peppy and fun to drive, ask us here at O'rielly about the LT package, that absolutely gives it the most bang for the buck.

We guarantee that you're going to love the solid-base 1.5 – liter engine and available turbo 2.0 – liter of the Chevy Equinox, and its incredibly firm yet controlled ride. It's a fun and powerful compact SUV that seats up to five and is the competition on the market for the Honda CRV, Toyota RAV4, Nissan Rogue, Ford Escape, and Jeep Cherokee. Exciting new features for this year were adaptive cruise control and front pedestrian braking, and both available 360-degree camera system and standard backup camera deliver high-definition views. Four USB ports for your devices are also now standard.

The 2019 Chevy Traverse is widely-known for an absolutely grade-A family trait: an ultra smooth ride during all circumstances! This is the vehicle you want if your family has experienced many frequent visitors or the abundance of growth lately: it seats up to 8 in three rows. Available in front or all-wheel drive, it's the SUV with urban style ques that also has a 5,000 – pound maximum towing capacity. The LT Premium Package includes the 360-degree camera system, 20-inch aluminum wheels, a rear camera mirror, navigation, high-quality Bose stereo, and household-style power outlet. Check out this new video from GM Authority here, and figure out which of the trio will fit your family's needs best for summer 2019!

2019 Chevy Trax New Pacific Blue Color Highlighted in GM Authority

Check out the new color here

The addition of new colors for a model is always an exciting event for the holidays: as the decorations and festive lights begin to pop up all over the Tucson area, more options for the exteriors of brand new cars are also becoming options for your 2019 purchase. As the excitement of spiced eggnog and wondering what kind of gifts the packages contain that are arriving on the porch mounts, it is a very festive pastime to sit down with your loved ones and select the perfect new car. The 2019 Chevy Trax will now add three new colors to its selection: Dark copper metallic, satin steel metallic, and pacific blue metallic.

Included in the base price of the 2019 Chevy Trax, it is also available in conjunction with all interior color combinations, and all trim levels besides LS. The Trax is a subcompact crossover utility vehicle that slots below the equinox as our pride and joy in the “half-pint” department, and this was the second crossover to launch in its segment in the U.S. Last years revamp gifted the Trax with all-new front and rear fascias, the replacement of the LTZ trim with the Premier, completely revised interior, and a brand-new infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto compatibility.

For 2018, the Trax received a new Redline Edition model, and numerous positive changes in equipment level. Like all first-generation units, the 2019 model will continue to ride on the GM Gamma II Platform, which is shared with the Buick Encore, and first-generation Chevy Sonic. Billed as “comfortable and competent” by Car and Driver, it was also ranked highly for its commanding seating position, and very confident handling. Ask us here at O'rielly Chevy about the Driver Confidence package: this is where you get the added assistance of rear parking sensors, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert.

The expansive headroom gives an airy and spacious feel to the cabin, and the touchscreen mounted to the dashboard is a snap to use. Road testers managed to fit 18 carry-on suitcases with the rear seats stowed, and many customers that come to speak to us about a new purchase are excited about the five-star rating the Trax gets from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Available forward-collision warning, blind-spot monitoring, and rear parking sensors are some of the integral reasons why it is ranked so high in the safety realm. Chevy also proudly stands by the complimentary scheduled maintenance offered for the Trax, which is not found all-too-common among competitors.

Ask us this holiday season how you can obtain the Limited Warranty that covers 3 years or 36,000 miles. The Powertrain Warranty covers 5 years or 60,000 miles, and Complimentary Maintenance is covered for 2 years, or 24,000 miles. Also available with 4G LTE capability, you'll have all sorts of entertainment and navigation ability at your fingertips when you climb aboard your brand new Trax!

Car and Driver Rates 2019 Chevy Volt as Having “Impressive Range”, “Prompt Acceleration”

When fall arrives for all of us here in Tucson, the leaves may not be as crisp as in other areas of the nation, but we love how some of the oven-hot temps have made their way out of the city. Taking a ride up to a place like Tanque Verde Falls is fantastic this time of year: it can be a bit of a challenge to get through the area of boulders and other obstacles, but the reward of amazing views and intense canyon walls are well worth it. As the seasons begin to change and consumers are asking us here at O'Rielly Chevy what their best bets are for new vehicles, the Chevy Volt is turning many heads.

The impressive all-electric range was one of the first topics of discussion for the testing staff of Car and Driver last week, as the new model can travel up to 53 miles before the gas engine takes over. For many daily commuters, this is massive news, as the average daily drive in America is around 22 miles. Prompt acceleration and solid handling were other areas where the new Volt scored high points, as well as a surprisingly spacious cargo hold for the size.

New for 2019, the Volt now includes an available built-in charger, that cuts actual charging time in half, as well as a regenerative-braking system that allows for the driver to use the brake pedal less. When situated in low mode or using the paddle on the steering wheel, the system works to slow the car, while successfully avoiding extra energy use. The entire heating system is now revised, so the engine can now automatically kick on when experiencing lower temps, which makes for a better all-electric range in colder locations. Every model now receives a new higher-definition 8.0-inch touchscreen, as well as more options to spice up the interior.

The base LT trim now includes the Infotainment 3 system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, two USB ports, and a 4G LTE-powered Wi-Fi hotspot, as well as single-zone automatic climate control, and the ultra-useful proximity entry with push-button start. Make sure to ask us here how in some instances, purchasing the Volt can qualify buyers for the federal tax credit of $7500 that is now available to electric-vehicle buyers: some states offer extra tax credits, rebates, and other incentives to purchase a Volt. The super-useful Energy App does provide MPG and MPGe in real time, and records driving style, terrain, weather conditions, and cabin comfort settings so drivers can pay close attention to see how these factors impact overall range, optimizing your journey at every step.

Orielly Autos Up-close Analysis 2017 Chevy Cruze Diesel Delivers

It is fantastic to be sitting smack-dab in the middle of the season where many outsiders come to visit and see how much the greater Tucson area has to offer. You really get the chance to open up your vehicle of choice on our winding roads, and check out awesome landmarks in the surrounding area: the Santa Catalina Mountains and off-roading allure of Yuma lure many. The Cruze is not necessarily an off-road capable token of entry, but all the better to get there with: this is a very cool small sedan that has been doing an excellent job of commanding its share of the market.

After the recession when gas prices spiked, GM took on the task of attempting to win at the game of slightly small car manufacturing back, and all of our sales and service staff are ecstatic that they did. The timing for the Cruze's release could not be better, and new owners appreciated the extra dose of upper-end style it possessed. Three million units have since been sold globally, and what we are laying our eyes on today is a new for 2017, turbocharged 1.6-liter diesel four cylinder version. Equipped with either a nine-speed automatic transmission or six-speed manual, the Cruze cooks up 137 horsepower, while also laying down 240 lb-ft of torque. This is what diesels are known for, and we wanted to show you some of the finer points of this release, after it was forced to navigate some murky waters during winter.

The first thing we noticed before we drove it is that no matter what your preferences are, you're probably going to enjoy it heaps more than the Cobalt, its predecessor. Erase from your mind any ideas of a featureless econobox that is simply not fun, because the extra flash packed into the Cruze is going to get you excited to drive it in a hurry. Even though the 8-second clocking of the 0-60 time isn't lightening fast, the Cruze's finest point is that it serves up pure excellence on the highway mileage factor. Right at about 52 miles per gallon, it also moves along like a larger car. This proved to cause us a lot of satisfaction, because we don't always like the unprotected feel of a tiny entity drifting along the very populated path of an interstate.

An important thing to keep in mind this year is that this is your only other choice besides VW in the diesel game, and the one that really offers a big-ride feel in a smaller-car package. You're also going to love the Infotainment options: for the price that the Cruze is, you don't always get this clean (and loud!) of a setup. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, USB and AUX ports, connectivity for Bluetooth, Sirius XM radio, and OnStar Navigation with 4G lite are all here for the taking.

We actually will take the liberty of claiming that these offerings boost the Cruze's comfort (and functional) status up to a luxury category, which is nearly impossible at any other rung of this pricing point. A good amount of rear-seat space for whoever wants to join the caravan, as well as trunk space for a long trip or mega grocery haul are other good attributes for family consumers. If you want the regular gas version of the Cruze, you are welcome to go for it: but trust us, you're going to be won over with the features and dominant traits of the diesel. Come see us at Orielly Chevrolet this summer, and check out the practical yet fun ways that this car is going to completely win you over!

Get Ready for Two New Corvettes from Chevrolet!

Get excited Tucson because there are two new super corvettes on the way! We can expect to see an upgraded version of the current C7 (which will revive the ZR1 name) and the long-rumored mid-engine Corvette.

According to Autoblog.com, we should expect to see the C7 ZR1 in 2018, while the mid-engine C7/8 will arrive in a year or two. So far, every look we’ve gotten at the vehicles have been camouflaged, so we’ve been unable to grasp the true silhouette of the next generation ‘Vettes. Still we’re able to spot some similarities and differences between the vehicles.

The Corvettes look nearly identical in the sense that they have similar windshield, roof panel, side window, side mirror, and taillight design. So, what’s the difference that experts were able spot? The mid-engine car front is much shorter and the rear is much more extended than the ZR1. There is also a big difference in the vehicles unique cooling needs. The mid-engine Vette also has been sculpted to route airflow to the intakes. Even with the slight differences in appearance you know both cars will provide an incredible driving experience.

A Tucson ‘Vette fanatic or not, you’re going to want to check these sports cars out. In the meantime, be sure to stop by and see us at O’Reilly Chevrolet in Tucson, AZ to shop our current lineup of Corvettes
